Lily Martin

After graduating from the University of Kent in 2022 with a first-class degree in Law LLB (Hons), Lily worked as a paralegal in a busy criminal defence firm in Essex where she qualified as a police station representative, allowing her to represent clients who are under investigation in police interviews.

Lily joined Hempsons in 2023 as a Paralegal in the Regulatory and Crime team and has since progressed as a Solicitor Apprentice, meaning that she is currently completing her Solicitors Qualifying Exams (SQE) and her qualifying work experience at the firm. Her experience in her previous team has given her an in depth understanding of criminal, professional misconduct and regulatory procedures.

Lily is currently training in the Inquests team, assisting other fee earners in preparing cases and supporting Counsel, clients and witnesses at Court.

In her spare time Lily enjoys travelling, walking, spending time with her dogs and reading plenty of books on her Kindle! She is also part of the Social Committee at Hempsons, helping organise all of the social events and has recently set up the Hempsons London Book Club.
