Liam Murray

Liam joined Hempsons as a trainee solicitor in 2021, prior to which he had worked as a trainee for a Newcastle based firm dealing with property matters, and worked in compliance for a multi-national banking group. He completed training seats in the healthcare litigation, real estate, healthcare advisory and commercial corporate team, before remaining with the commercial corporate team on qualifying in March 2023.

Liam provides primarily in respect public procurement processes and litigation, assisting both bidders and contracting authorities in bringing and defending complaints and challenges, as well as assisting authorities with the construction of their procurements. Alongside, Liam assists on wider litigation matters, such as contractual and property disputes.

Liam also provides assistance in respect of contract negotiations, working mainly with NHS Trusts and Integrated Care Boards in ensuring that their contracts are robust.
