What Emma can do for you
Emma is a Solicitor in the healthcare litigation team specialising in clinical negligence claims made against the NHS. She joined Hempsons in 2016 after training at a Claimant Firm.
Emma runs a varied caseload including neurological, orthopaedic, amputation, obstetric and GP claims as well as cases relating to a delay in diagnosis of cancer. Emma has represented her clients at several successful mediations.
Emma is also an active member of the Leeds and District Medico-Legal Committee arranging training and lectures for local lawyers and medics.

On 1 April 2020 the Supreme Court handed down two Judgments in Barclays Bank Plc v Various Claimants  UKSC 13 and WM Morrisons Supermarkets Plc v Various Claimants  UKSC 12 in which the Court appears to be moving against vicarious liability.
