GP Surgery Improvement Grants under the Primary Care Utilisation and Modernisation Fund

Following the unveiling of the Primary Care Utilisation and Modernisation Fund, GP practices who have successfully bid for premises improvement grants will need to get to grips with the finer details and documentation required to release funds and start building works.

Hempsons have supported many practices nationwide with surgery improvement projects, including:

  • Advising on the terms of grants under the new Premises Costs Directions, including reviewing the grant agreement and any associated legal charge;
  • Obtaining consents from landlords or mortgage lenders that may be required before works start;
  • Advising on building contracts and other construction documents;
  • Reviewing partnership agreements and advising on updates consequential to the grant.
