Webinar: Medical Regulation in the Shadow of COVID-19

By Graeme Trigg Friday, April 3, 2020

At a time of unprecedented national crisis, healthcare practitioners are under enormous pressure to provide care to patients and manage the spread of coronavirus, in midst of a much-publicised shortage of protective equipment and diagnostic testing, and with the pressure on the NHS expected to grow as the pandemic reaches its peak. At the same time, practitioners (and the public in general) are being bombarded with updated guidance and changing expectations, on an almost daily basis.

In this webinar, Stephen Hooper attempts to distil and explain the guidance issued by the GMC and local regulatory bodies, to assess what is expected of healthcare practitioners,  what the regulatory landscape looks like in the coming months, and to provide some practical advice on how practitioners can protect themselves, whilst continuing to protect their patients.
