Zara Ameen

Zara is a paralegal working across Hempsons’ Inquest & Inquiries and Healthcare Litigation teams, specialising in complex inquests and managing a caseload of limited‑liability advisory instructions for NHS Trusts and care providers. She supports solicitors on sensitive and high‑risk coronial matters, ensuring compliance with coronial directions, coordinating evidence, drafting advice, and preparing risk assessments. She also participates and develops tailored training to the benefit of Hempsons’ clients and contributes to outreach events to help improve transparency, understanding and accessibility into the profession.

Zara has completed three in‑house secondments across the healthcare sector, giving her deep insight into the operational and regulatory demands facing providers:

  • Acute Trust – Inquests
  • Mental Health Trust – Inquests
  • Acute Trust – Clinical Negligence & Liability

Before joining Hempsons LLP, Zara supported on Court of Protection matters, including urgent S.21A applications.  Zara has also gained experience in supporting fee earners on a wide range of subrogated property damage claims, including escape of water, fire, and subsidence, with claim values ranging from a few thousand pounds to multi‑million‑pound losses.
