Zara Ameen

Zara is a Trainee Solicitor in Hempsons’ Healthcare Litigation team. She advises and supports healthcare providers on a range of complex litigation matters, drawing on her experience across inquests, clinical negligence and healthcare advisory work.

Before commencing her training contract, Zara worked as a Paralegal across the firm’s Inquests & Inquiries and Healthcare Litigation teams, specialising in complex inquests and managing advisory instructions for NHS trusts and care providers. She supported solicitors on sensitive and high-risk coronial matters, including coordinating evidence, drafting advice, preparing risk assessments and ensuring compliance with coronial directions.

Zara has also completed three in-house secondments across the healthcare sector, giving her valuable insight into the operational and regulatory challenges faced by healthcare providers:

Prior to joining Hempsons, Zara gained experience supporting Court of Protection matters, including urgent section 21A applications, as well as assisting on a wide range of subrogated property damage claims involving escape of water, fire and subsidence, ranging from lower-value disputes to multi-million-pound losses.
