Sophie Birkbeck

Sophie joined Hempsons in July 2024 as a corporate and commercial solicitor where she works mainly within the primary care team. Sophie specialises in corporate matters and has developed a broad range of corporate experience by advising and assisting on merger and acquisition transactions, corporate governance, shareholder agreements, articles of association and company share buybacks/redemptions.

Sophie studied law at the University of Sussex and graduated in 2016 with a first-class degree. She later attended the University of Law (London Bloosmbury) where she completed her LPC.

Sophie started her legal career within a private client team, and later undertook her training contract at the same national Legal 500 firm. She later qualified into their corporate team in 2022. Since qualification Sophie gained experience working with a range of clients, for example, charities, pharmaceutical companies, independent schools, PCNs and GP partnerships.
