Kristy Harkett

Kristy has gained a wide range of post-qualification experience in clinical negligence litigation, employers’ liability and public liability claims, inquests, and criminal prosecutions. However, Kristy has remained committed to the public sector and, most significantly, the field of healthcare.

Kristy has worked for several other, top-tier law firms who specialise in defendant clinical negligence work. She has undertaken a number of both short, and long-term secondments with NHS trusts and leading defence organisations alike.

At Hempsons, Kristy continues to specialise in healthcare litigation, and the defence of clinical negligence claims on behalf of NHS trusts.

Kristy joined Hempsons in September 2020 and currently works as an associate within the healthcare litigation department, predominantly acting on behalf of NHS Resolution and NHS hospital trusts, as well as GPs, private individuals and their medical defence organisations.
