What Harry can do for you
Harry joined Hempsons in 2019 as a paralegal in the healthcare litigation team in our Newcastle office. Prior to this he was part of an occupational disease team in a national law firm back in his home town of Liverpool. Harry has experience of defence work and dealing with a large volume of disease claims brought against multi-national insurers and companies.
Harry completed a Master of Law degree at Northumbria University in 2018, incorporating the requirements of a qualifying law degree alongside the SRA required knowledge and professional skills needed to qualify as a solicitor.
He regularly assists fee earners on a range of healthcare litigation matters whilst also managing his own caseload of limited instruction files – including trust, GP and MDO claims. Harry has previously worked in credit hire, road traffic collision claims and welfare issues whilst volunteering at the Citizens Advice Bureau.
From May 2021 Harry has been working on secondment with one of the local NHS Trusts. Working on the ‘frontline’ for the trust’s legal services Harry has assisted in inquests, public/employer’s liability as well as clinical negligence claims. He has also been involved with Court of Protection issues related to consent for medical treatment.
Harry will commence his training contract with us in September 2021.
