Anya Savage

Anya joined Hempsons in 2022 as a costs lawyer in the Manchester office. Prior to this, she worked in the advocacy department of a national law firm and costs company, where she recently qualified as a solicitor and was successful in the Associate promotions process.

Anya has experience of both claimant and defendant costs in personal injury claims. Anya has covered costs issues in claims involving clinical negligence, disease, abuse, public and employer liability, road traffic accidents and accidents abroad. The costs range from fixed costs to multimillion-pound standard costs claims.

Anya has also worked as a contract manager in the complex crime unit of the Legal Services Commission (now Legal Aid Agency) dealing with high value complex fraud cases and high profile VHCC criminal cases, which provided significant transferable experience into the civil costs budgeting process.

Anya’s extensive experience of negotiation and litigation of both claimant and defendant costs, provides the business with a balanced and inciteful view of personal injury costs issues.
