Hempsons announces partner and associate promotions

Hempsons is delighted to announce this year’s round of partner and associate promotions.

With effect from 1st July 2017, Stephen Maratos has become a partner in the Newcastle office. Stephen joined Hempsons in 2014 and has specialised in clinical negligence work since qualifying in 2005.

Our Healthcare Litigation team also sees Harrogate-based Chloe Davies and London’s Harjit Talwar and Elizabeth Thomas promoted to associate. Chloe and Harjit handle defendant clinical negligence work, while Elizabeth works with the Healthcare Advisory team on defamation cases and inquests as well as clinical negligence cases.

Also in London, Michael Rourke has been promoted to associate in the Corporate Commercial team. Michael joined Hempsons in 2015, and has broad experience advising clients on contracting and regulatory issues facing health and care organisations. Neha Shah becomes an associate in the Charities and Social Enterprise team, advising on a wide range of transactional and regulatory issues.
