Hempsons and Eastwoods: our 2020 vision

2020 will be a particularly exciting year for everyone at Hempsons and Eastwoods, as the two firms merge to create a powerful new force in regulatory, disciplinary and criminal law.

The 9-strong Eastwoods team joined the Hempsons London office on 27th January 2020, bringing a wealth of experience defending regulatory, disciplinary, criminal, clinical negligence and personal injury cases, as well as in employment claims, sports law, judicial review, appeals and representation at inquests.

Beginning his new role as Senior Consultant at Hempsons, Simon Eastwood said “At Eastwoods we took great pride in the levels of service and care we gave to our clients, and we are delighted to join with Hempsons to continue that ethos whilst providing an even stronger offering to our clients.”

Hempsons has a prominent clinical negligence and health and social care law reputation across the NHS, private and charitable sectors, as well as itself being a leading player in the defence of regulatory and professional discipline matters for medical and dental practitioners nationwide.

Hempsons’ senior partner and head of the regulatory team Chris Morris commented “We are delighted to welcome Simon and the Eastwoods team. Our newly merged firm creates a new 26-strong Hempsons Regulatory, Crime and Professional Discipline team and will make Hempsons a force to be reckoned with, squarely at the forefront of the professional discipline field.”
