Double boost for Hempsons London healthcare team
We are delighted to announce that healthcare specialist Anita Rao has joined the advisory team in our London office.
Anita is an experienced health and social care barrister, who has worked with the NHS, wider healthcare, and social care clients for over 10 years. She specialises in all aspects of healthcare advisory law including mental capacity, mental health, decision-making in relation to children and young people, judicial review and issues relating to CQC.
Welcoming Anita to the team, partner Philippa Doyle said: “We are delighted to welcome Anita to Hempsons where she will lead our London advisory team. Anita’s expertise builds on our established reputation to offer high quality, practical and pragmatic advice to our health, social care and charity clients.”
On her new role, Anita said: “I am delighted to have joined Hempsons, a firm with such a rich reputation in the health and social care sectors. I look forward to working with passionate and committed professionals, all experts in their respective fields, and supporting our colleagues across health and social care in what continues to be challenging times.”
Anita’s arrival at Hempsons coincides with the welcome return of associate Flora Jago. Flora took a period of study leave to complete a master’s degree in bioethics at Harvard University, where her research focused on issues of mental capacity and end of life care for patients with severe and enduring anorexia nervosa. Flora is looking forward to sharing her experience with clients.
Anita and Flora will be working closely together and alongside the wider national advisory team to advise our clients nationwide on a wide range of healthcare advisory issues.
