Clara graduated from University of Edinburgh in 2014 with an Upper Second Class degree in Social Policy & Politics. Following on from this she completed her GDL, gaining a Commendation and her LPC gaining a Distinction.

Clara joined Hempsons in January 2020 as part of our merger with Eastwoods and works in the Healthcare Litigation department. Clara assists with regulatory investigations, criminal defence and clinical negligence claims.

Success for Adam Smith as client acquitted of bribery charges

On Friday 4 March, Mr Staunton was acquitted of the two bribery charges brought against him, related to the placement of medicines within the NHS. Assisted by trainee solicitor Clara Gogarty, and instructing Fiona Horlick QC of Outer Temple Chambers, this was the culmination of a six-week trial at Southampton Crown Court.
