Lucy is a solicitor within the firm’s healthcare litigation team, working predominately on defending clinical negligence claims brought against NHS trusts and general practitioners.

Prior to joining Hempsons in September 2025, Lucy worked at a national law firm specialising in commercial insurance litigation, with a focus on defending professional indemnity claims. Throughout her training, Lucy also gained commercial in-house experience whilst on secondment to a pharmaceutical company. Prior to qualification (2020-2021), Lucy worked as a paralegal within the healthcare litigation team at Hempsons.

Lucy’s experience across a broad range of defendant litigation enables her to apply a commercial and strategic approach to clinical negligence matters in order to encourage the early resolution of claims.
