Steven Wade

Steven qualified as a solicitor in 2010 and since then has specialised in defendant clinical negligence claims, representing NHS Resolution.  Steven joined the healthcare litigation team at Hempsons in 2018 from another NHS Resolution panel firm. 

Steven has experience of a wide variety of clinical negligence claims, ranging from straightforward orthopaedic injuries and cases concerning delay in diagnosis to high value claims including cases involving spinal and neurological injuries, obstetric injuries, amputations and claims for dependency following a fatality.  

In addition to NHS bodies, Steven also has experience of acting for individual GPs, nurses and private surgeons through their medical defence organisations, working closely with and supporting the individual practitioner throughout the duration of claims.

Steven has experience of representing NHS trusts at inquests and providing advice in respect of a range of ad hoc queries.  He has undertaken secondments with both NHS Resolution and NHS trusts.
