The deadline for Primary Care Networks (PCNs) to agree arrangements and sign off their Mandatory Network Agreements is 30 June 2019.
The Mandatory Network Agreement issued by NHS England contains skeleton legal provisions, but there is a great deal of detail which needs to be set out in the Schedules which is to be locally agreed and drafted by each PCN. This detail will be central to the governance of the PCN.
We are inviting Clinical Directors and PCN leads to attend a free seminar on Thursday 6 June in Newcastle where you will be able to raise questions about your PCN structure and governance arrangements, the role of Clinical Directors and what you need to include in the Network Agreement.
This seminar will be of interest to:
- Clinical Directors
- PCN Leads
If you have any questions regarding this event, please contact Hempsons’ Events Team.

The GP primary care team at Hempsons have been considering The Mandatory Network Agreement recently published by NHS England. It contains little detail, leaving much to be elaborated in the schedules.
Primary Care Networks: Who are you contracting with? Do you know? The Agreement is a legal contract and in order to ensure that it is legally binding on all the PCN member practices, you need to ensure that those practices are correctly and accurately identified as parties to it.
Primary Care Networks: Who are you trusting to receive the DES payments on your behalf?
