Baxendale & Hempsons’ free Merger Webinar Series – No3

Event overview

Baxendale, specialist management consultancy, and Hempsons, leading charity and social enterprise solicitors are delighted to announce the third in our new programme of merger webinars focused on charities and not-for-profit organisations.

Webinar Three: Stakeholder collaboration – the secret to a better merger

In the third of our charity and social enterprise webinars we look at harnessing the power of stakeholder collaboration – providing a legal and best practice guide to a successful merger.

We will be explaining soft engagement; and also explaining that the consent of some stakeholders is a legal requirement to enable the merger to go ahead.

‘Stakeholders’ could include:

  • Members and volunteers
  • Beneficiaries
  • Key funders and commissioners and partners
  • Regulators
  • Landlords

Together, we will be sharing our knowledge and experience of a wide range of factors relating to not-for-profit mergers; along with practical advice. So, whether you just want to explore merger as a tool to support your growth and social impact ambitions, or you are actively pursuing a specific opportunity, this webinar will help you plan your next steps on the merger journey.

The session will be presented by Ceri Jones, CEO at BaxendaleIan HempseedHead of Charities and Social Enterprise at Hempsons; and Jim Brooks, Head of Mergers & Acquisitions at Baxendale

Ceri joined Baxendale from Social Enterprise UK where she headed up the Policy and Research function. Ceri leads on all stakeholder engagement aspects of mergers.
