Contested estates

We have extensive experience advising both private clients and charities where an estate is contested ranging from claims of lack of testamentary capacity to unreasonable provision under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975. We understand that a supportive approach is essential in dealing with contested estates disputes as can they often become distressing and emotional. Our advice includes the interpretation of wills and trust documentation and disputes between personal representatives and beneficiaries. We can also advise on alternative means of dispute resolution to going to Court supported by our Litigation Team and recognise the need for sound commercial advice in such matters.
