• Defence of a race claim for £800,000 compensation brought by a junior doctor in training. In addition to the amount of compensation claimed, the claim was significant because the organisation employs a large number of doctors from ethnic minorities. The claim was withdrawn without payment of any sum as a result of our advice.
• Drafted an executive and standard contract as well as a handbook of policies and procedures for a national charity operating in the Middle East. Our team had to deal with particular issues relating to the privacy of the Charity's benefactors, confidentiality and the personal security of its employees.
• Defence of a senior manager's claims of unfair dismissal and for a protective award - the claims arose out of a high profile business insolvency. We also advised on the subsequent TUPE transfer of some 200 other employees to 13 public and private organisations.
