We have extensive experience advising charities and societies on their contractual arrangements with other organisations. We can advise on long and short-term contractual arrangements between multiple organisations from different sectors. Our contracts team work across the firm alongside experienced lawyers from our construction, IP, Media and Technology, property and corporate teams. We recently advised a well-known medical learned society on its fifteen-year contract with a commercial publisher for the publication of its journal. We negotiated changes to the publisher's structure which retained the commercial benefits of the long-term arrangement but provided rights for the charity to break the contract on clearly set parameters.
