As a healthcare specialist firm, much of our corporate expertise is based on advising NHS bodies on their contractual requirements and, increasingly, advising NHS bodies on corporate transactions such as mergers, sales and acquisitions.

However, we also advise a considerable (and growing) number of private sector organisations contracting with the public sector and employ a number of very experienced private sector lawyers. This adds significant value to our corporate clients as we understand the drivers, concerns and regulatory requirements of all the parties to a contract or joint venture.

In addition, our corporate finance expertise in advising on all aspects of investments and funding arrangements, and the securities for such investments and funding, is often applied in the Health and Social Care sector and is an inherent aspect of joint ventures and partnering arrangements.

As leaders in the market, we have been at the forefront of every change to the structure of the NHS and the wider Health and Social Care market. In recent years, we have been involved in the externalisation of provider services from Primary Care Trusts to Foundation Trusts and to date have advised many such transactions to have taken place throughout the country, including dealing with referrals to the Co-operation and Competition Panel. We are also advising on the sales of NHS bodies to other NHS bodies.
