Hempsons appoints new partner – nationally recognised procurement law expert, Deborah Ramshaw
Hempsons, specialist legal adviser for the health and social care, life sciences, charity and social enterprise sectors, has appointed a new partner – nationally recognised procurement law expert, Deborah Ramshaw.
Deborah joins Hempsons’ Newcastle office after 17 years at Bond Dickinson LLP, before which she was a solicitor in local government. She has expertise in a wide range of sectors including health, local government, central government, energy (including district energy schemes), transport, education and registered providers. She also advises private sector providers across a range of procurement law matters, including tendering strategies and advice on losing tenders.
Deborah has extensive experience of advising on complex procedures and frameworks, including four multi-billion pound frameworks for the Education Funding Agency.
As well as providing training to clients and bodies such as CIPS, Deborah authors various notes on procurement law for Westlaw Insight and Lexis PSL.
Deborah will be working with a range of clients both within and outside the health sector. In particular, she will advise contracting authorities in the education, local government and housing sectors. “I am delighted to be joining Hempsons to deliver a top class procurement service to a range of contracting authorities,” she said.
