Event overview

A forum discussing the recently published national report from NHS Resolution with author Dr Alice Oates

We are delighted to invite you to a joint forum hosted by both Hempsons and DAC Beachcroft on Thursday 13th September 2018 in partnership with NHS Resolution, to discuss the key findings from a detailed analysis of NHS Resolution data relating to suicide inquests and claims and non-fatal suicide claims.

Dr Alice Oates, Clinical Fellow in Mental Health at NHS Resolution who is leading on this project, will share the findings and learning from the thematic report which will be published on 10 September 2018 (World Suicide Prevention Day).

The forum is aimed at Legal Services Managers and Risk Managers but will also be relevant to those working on the frontline across Acute, Mental Health, Community and Ambulance NHS Trusts.

Those attending will obtain a detailed understanding of the key clinical and non-clinical issues arising in suicide and non-fatal suicide cases and explore the recommendations designed to support Trusts in making improvements to prevent harm. There will also be an opportunity to share best practice between attending Trusts.
