Hempsons is pleased to announce that it will be hosting a series of FREE employment law seminars in each of our four offices this spring.

The seminars will cover a range of current employment law issues that we know can cause headaches for HR advisers and are designed to offer sound legal guidance, as well as practical tips to help you manage these tricky areas.

The seminars, which will be run by our national team of expert employment lawyers, will cover:

1. Dealing with and supporting Doctors: MHPS: an overview

Managing concerns relating to doctors can be complex and challenging, particularly given the risk of litigation. We will look at the Maintaining High Professional Standards (MHPS) framework and provide a practical overview of how to get it right.

2. Case-law update

There have been a number of significant recent case-law developments in key areas for the majority of employers. We will update you on those developments and offer tactical tips for you to takeaway.

3. Freedom and openness

We look at recent significant developments in areas that are of particular importance to the NHS/healthcare providers including: whistleblowing, modern slavery/human trafficking and the duty of candour.
