We are running two FREE seminars in our Newcastle office for charities and social enterprises focusing on risk management. The seminars are intended for trustees, CEOs and senior managers of charities and social enterprises.

Please register via the form below.

Background:

Charities and social enterprises continue to face a wide range of risks that may impact on business areas across their organisation – these include data protection and security, brand protection, trading and fundraising regulation, and managing staff and volunteers, and so on.

These challenges can be seen not only in the recent spate of fines issued against charities by the Information Commissioner and, steps to tighten the regulation of fundraising and to increase the Charity Commission’s enforcement powers but also, more widely, in changing patterns of employment (e.g. ‘agile’ working) as well as the recent cyberattacks on the NHS and other organisations.

Mitigating risk enables charities and social enterprises to focus more on implementing their business plans, maximising opportunities and furthering their objectives for the public benefit.

These seminars will cover a range of operational issues that we know can cause headaches for trustees, CEOs and senior managers is designed to offer sound legal guidance, as well as practical tips, to help you manage some of these tricky areas.
